I can say that relevant videos that are popular can do extremely well. A good example would be a highlight from a recent soccer match. A good video with a link to your soccer related site for full highlights or just a link telling the YouTube viewers to just go to your site to view the highlights can get you quite a bit of traffic. Often, if your content is good, these people will convert into subscribers and such.

I haven't tried it before, but I believe making a youtube video relevant to your content can bring lots of visitors to your website. However, if you don't make the video well, you have probably just wasted your time making it and only few people will watch the video.

I have done it. Doesn't bring much traffic if it is unrelated to the video.

Uploading an interesting video with the link of your related site, can bring in decent traffic.

I've not tried it before, might get my mate who makes videos about myspace customization and puts them on youtube to put my url in the corner or something, test it out a bit

I've gotten over 10,000 hits on some of my coding screencasts/video tutorials. I post them like i would any other tutorial on the sites i advertise on (dzone, forums etc..) and they take off from there.

Yes, some of site had a good number of visitors. Its just niche was very popular and viewers was increasing day by day and till now, it has gotten thousands.. so yeah it brings good traffic.

It's actually not good traffic all the time. There are ones that work and don't work with YouTube. Soccer is usually a good one. Webmaster stuff, I've usually found to not be that amazing.

Static , does travel related things work with you tube promotion . I would like to promote my blog with you tube . Any suggestions ?

You are quite right webmasters videos on youtube wouldn't help much.
world affair videos, news and sports videos can help bring traffic to your website.

Yup we have used youtube and still do for advertising. Not for our webhosting but our other online adventures and it does very well.

Well I made a youtube video for a weight loss ebook and got in a month about 150 clicks but not one single sale.

I had 900 videos on YouTube and placed a link back to my site in the description of every video. I used to get about 200 clicks a day, linking back to my gaming website. The videos were also gaming based.

I got banned for uploading footage of GTAIV, when I wasnt allowed too. Although I never knew I wasnt supposed to, and lost all my videos and everything.
