Default Pop-up are annoying biut they gather much traffic .

Pop-up ads are ten times MORE effective at generating clicks. This ads are really annoying visitors but some how they manage to gather more click !! Does this sound a wired thing ? The reason might be the way they try to avoid pop up may lead to the website which posts the pop up ad . Anyway many pop ups in a site will harm the pop up displaying sites !!

I honestly have no idea what you are trying to say here.

Pop ups/unders are annoying and shouldn't be used IMO, unless you don't care about the people visiting your site of course, then feel free to piss them off.

Pop ups may give you more revenue, but it can stop your traffic from coming back.

I usually don't revisit a website when there is annoying pop ups.

That is what I too meant. The gainer is who has a pop in other site and the loser is the site which provide pop up. Hope now it is clear to all

Yes, this is true. You might get more revenue at first, but as the traffic stops coming back, it will eventually make you have lower revenue. I don't recommend having pop-up ads on the websites.

I hate pop-up ads. Some pop-unders are ok but still annoying.

One pop under really doesn't matter, at least for me.
Sometime sites just need revenue but I hate when they get greedy and put pop unders in every page.

Yes, pop-up under every page is really annoying, it makes me never visit that site again. What a nice way to lose traffic

Yeah, that's pretty bad. Another one that I really don't like is when popups have popups inside them.

I personally don't like sites with popups and it makes the impression that the site is a spam site, so I tend to avoid these kind of sites.

If they are related, some people likes to click it.... but since they are really annoying, most of them pass unclicked. But still they earn money

Because pop ups are CPM not PPC.
Doesn't matter if the user clicks on it.

It is better to spend some extra time on content of your website than annoy visitors with popup.

These kind of website don't tend to have repeated visitors.

Better try to place ordinary ads from Ad sense and other similar resources . Pop-ups generate a huge amount of revenue for the websites , but it can harm the traffic to a great extent .

I think placing a POP-up add in some one's own site is better way to earn lots of money than normal adds in the site .

I think tribal(a pop add) gives 18$ for just 1000 pop - up adds in different sites.

Yes popUPS do gather quite a few clicks which can make you a few dollar, but they will end up getting on the majority of peoples nerves. I hate those full page popups where you have to "click to continue to site" all the time. And inline ads are even worse. I will just stick with banner and text ads.

Pop-ups maybe generate a lot off traffic but I can't figure out how because they are really annoying. When I am browsing and see a pop-up I close it immediately.

Most pop ups are CPM so clicks don't matter.
Those full page 'pop ups' are probably from Adbrite, indeed they are annoying.
Inline ads don't bother me as much.
