Default How much to charge for a link?
Hey guys, I have a question.

How do you guys calculate on how much to charge for a link?
PR?
Traffic?
Placement?

How much do you think is an ideal price for a PR2 health related site, link placed on footer.
Lets say the site gets 50 hits a day.

What time frame is best to sell links? Monthly? Yearly?

I would like to hear your opinions.

the main problem for buying and selling links is about google .if you were going to sell links then you definetly penalsed by google
even many big sites have been stopped for selling links.as far as i seen on dp good prices starting from $5 but if you go other forums may be less you get
I must say if it is first link t hen start with $1 once u get decent advertisers then go ahead to increase price

yes because its pr2 and i dont think you get more advertisers since i had also one site with pr2 and none of them bought links well you say its on niche
anyway this days its easy to get pr2 by social bookmarking sites

I am also looking for some hints on pricing as i just got PR2 for my health tips site.

I think 4$ / month and 30$ / year is good for PR2 Health site.

I agree with that pricing. But it is hard to make many different niche directories which only allow links in particular things. Its costs a lot to do and I don't know about the profits made..A lot of links would have to be sold to cover the domain and hosting costs.

I was selling links on my PR5 blog for Around $10 each. Its cheap (i know) but I got a hell of a lot of replies, and people renewed them.

Congrats, that seems cheap, but you don't want to oversell, Google will catch you.

Guess I'll go with $4 a month for now.

Yeh but that is the general idea of promoting your site. You want to be better than the other sites in the rankings, and your making the effort and spending money doing that. What does it have to do with Google? :P

Oh you mean buying links? Yeah I guess it can help but most people do it to gain SERPs other than to gain traffic from that site.
I believe link sellers get penalized worst than the buyer.

Directories actually give you traffic? Directories are mostly used for backlinks, I have never gotten traffic from a directory.
