Default Possible blog platform?

I am curious about something. My site over at investmentnation.com is used solely for stock boards/forums but with the ability of my site I have a question for all you bloggers out there.

If I made a section for bloggers (as in actually using the site to blog in the blog section) would bloggers find it viable? I mean they could use it for free and everything.

They would have an IBOX to put in all their information in and they can post their topics below in a very good layout fashion.

I was thinking about marketing that part of it as well since I have unlimited space. What do you guys think?

I think that if you are doing this then you will either need to advertise a hell of a lot or offer some kind of reward for using it (or both).

A lot of places already do this (trusted places such as wordpress.com and blogger). Offering something to get people to blog on yours would be a must in my opinion, even if it's just advertising space (e.g. adsense).

Actually a good way would be to set up a script and depending on how many people viewed their blog would depend on how much they get paid (kind of like shareapic.net do with pictures), but in doing this you would need to monitor it a lot, there would be a pretty high set up cost too (if you outsource coding, as far as I know there is no premade script to do this), also getting accepted to advertisers would be needed (CPM would be best). Just an idea I had there...steal it if you like (I won't be using it).
