I'm not a big affiliate and only recently started out. From all the affiliate marketing blogs that I've read, it seems like many of the super affiliates are investing a few thousand to make a lot more.

Does anyone believe that it is possible to make it big when starting with $0? Now, of course it probably is possible in a year or so, but I was wondering of something more quick--maybe a couple/few months.

It depends upon your blog content . If the content is great you can really excel !!

Uhm maybe I should explain my question a bit better. So you've got 0 to spend for PPC campaigns and those sorts. Is it possible to rack up a few hundred without such campaigns?

Yes you can !! Concentrate on less competitive keywords

Yes, it is definitely possible. It might take more time or you might make less money, but if you put in effort and your content is great, then you can be successful.

Yeah you can. If you can manage to buy a domain and hosting you can make affiliate income from bum/article marketing alone.

Even using a free domain for starters can. Just make sure everyone you know knows about it. Promoting via signature in all your forums can gain you good linkbacks, and the more the traffic, the more rewarded will be your efforts.
There are many who do affiliate marketing by just using a link in their signature, or starting threads on it in forums that allow it. Its exposure.

You serious? Isn't it very unlikely that your potential customers will not visit those forums, which will result in not a lot of traffic (and conversions) for your mini-site or blog or whatever you have affiliate programs on?

I've seen people do it, and turn in a couple of thousand dollars a month. Its not much compared to using a site, but if you start with $0...
you need to pick your product you want to sell... and find the right forum for it.

Starting from $0 is quit common at this moment , but it takes much time and lots of work to earn $$ .I think it mainly depends on the content you participate.

true. Selling e-books is the best way to earn online, and make your starting $s. There are many other small programs that pay you for getting referrals, some of them pay you $2 per referral, and that's yet another way to earn.

If you're talking about non-digital products, this technique is not the best.

Yes, I have heard of the program which pays you $2 per referral, but the problem with this is, it is really hard to get referrals. If you are able to bring lots of referrals, I think it is worth trying.

I suggest you work as a freelancers for a couple of months you can easily rack up enough money to buy a couple websites with good PR in a month, use that website to sell your products , I started in march this year with zero knowledge and zero balance but I have a decent amount in my paypal, but you should only invest whatever you earn right back into the business

Well, there is another way to get that done. You'll lose a bit, but if you know the program pays, it's worth it.
In the signature or in an offers or advertisement section, just write: get $.02 egold instant for signing up under this link

Refs try to jump link, and this is a way of getting things done your way. People jump at offers like this.

Also, getting your referrals to do offers for you in forums like digital point where there are many members with creditcards is also easy. Start a thread "Giving out $20 for members going green" and you'll find many to complete offers worth $40or more for a lower price.
This is another way of marketing. lol.

Yeah, I saw many people offering $$$ for going green. I also really want to try this, but since most of this offer are available only in US, I am not able to do this. Too bad, I live outside US

It is really hard to start with $0.You could maybe earn some money from bum marketing but only if you are a really good writer and have a lot of optimization and promotion knowledge.

if you have an idea and niche then you are going to make either from 0 or with funds
I have come up with 0 but it taken a lot of time and you need to do just like gamble

I started with $0. Well okay, I started with only buying hosting, and that money I made back in a month (for a year of hosting)...
