Well I mentioned i other threads that I am a newbie to affiliate marketing. I still dint start experimenting on it but I started learning some tricks about it.

I created this thread regarding adwords especially when we are targeting affiliate marketing. These are few points, I mean 2 important points that I learned this weekend.


1) Quality score should be good.

If quality score is good then,

-------> Good ad position
-------> Low bid cost
-------> Most relevant ads appear
-------> So obviously more clicks.

2) CTR should be high

Ctr = clicks/ no of times the ad is clicked.
When we are advertising our affiliate link, we should always check whether we are getting max CTR or not. If CTR is not high, it means that our keywords performance is low.

These are the two points that I learnt this week. When i learn more points, I will post them too. If i am wrong, experience people may correct me.

I've never tried using adwords or a company like that with an affiliate link, is it a good way to get people signing up/buying the product?

As far as I learned,
You have to invest money in adwords to get maximum returns in the for of affiliate marketing.
I dint try it though. I am still learning about it. Once I complete learning, I will start it.

well yeah, adwords is a PPC program, so you have to put money into it to advertise with them.

I was just wondering if affiliate links are effective when used on adwords.

QS should be "great" for achieving your desired ROI and making the most out of your campaigns."OK" is just not enough.

With a better QS you can get better ad positions and lower your bid costs and in the same time get more cheaper clicks,but CTR is also a big factor here.

What do you mean with "Most relevant ads appear"?

Actually wrong,It means that your ad(copy) performance is low and that you should improve your ad(copy) by being more relevant and testing different ad copies.

If you make a dedicated landing page for that product and know how to optimize your campaign,you can earn good money with little work.

Yes the people are buying.

Once in a while, you should use Adwords because its all about organic traffic. Once they come, they start to flow....

Just don't do what I did with adwords. Some time back. I was due to go on holiday and I thought I would run some ad campaigns for my forum whilst I was away to keep the mods busy. I dunno what happened or how it happened but some how instead of setting my daily limit to $40 I set it to $400. Lets just say after not being online for 14 days and coming back to view my Adwords account... well I nearly passed out.

Adword would not be helpfull if u are using it for promoting product selling website.
Leads are better if selling products as you only pays if there is a sale but in adwords there is chance that u may waste a few hundred dollars without any sales.

True.You can waste even thousand of dollars on advertising through adwords and not earn a single dime.But if you know what are you doing and if you have a bit of experience than it will pay off.

If i am in your place then i would been used for leads from samll companies like axill etc

And if you can monetize that traffic properly...

Ok, more than nice. But then monetizing that traffic as you say would of been quite a task. And if this wasn't intentional, that wouldnt of happened.
